Niamh is a friend I met in Australia through her older sister, Elke. Together, they made Australia feel like home. When Niamh moved to Canada to work on a ski hill in the west, I knew I had to return the favor and show her around my province, just as she and Elke did for me. While she was staying in New Brunswick, we played tourists in our town, seeing everything through fresh eyes. One chilly day, we arrived at the Irving Nature Park in Saint John, where I captured a series of natural light portraits.
The wind was biting—especially for an Aussie—but the moment felt golden in its quiet way.
